Coronavirus Genome Sequence in Bangladesh

For the first time in Bangladesh, the genome sequence of coronavirus has been done by the Child Health Research Foundation.

Researchers from around the world are working on the genome sequence of the coronavirus, which is taking the shape of a pandemic around the world. It is important to know the genome sequence or life secrets of the virus to prevent coronary infections. That is why the Child Health Research Foundation has announced to work to unravel the mystery of the life of this deadly virus in Bangladesh as well.

For the first time in Bangladesh, the Child Health Research Foundation is sequencing the genome of coronavirus. The information was confirmed by the Child Health Research Foundation on Tuesday (May 12).

Genome sequences can easily be used to determine the speed, nature, and potential of the virus in the country.

Last December, the deadly virus originated in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Then it spread all over the world including Europe and America. The World Health Organization later declared the virus a global pandemic.

The first coronavirus patient in Bangladesh was identified on March 8. After that, the first person in the country died of corona on March 18. Although a number of general holidays have been declared to prevent infection, the number of patients and deaths due to corona is increasing day by day. According to the latest information, in the last 65 days, 16,660 people have been infected with a corona in the country. And 250 people have died due to corona.

Meanwhile, the number of coronary heart disease patients worldwide has exceeded 42 lakh and 87 thousand. Besides, 2 lakh 88 thousand 3 hundred and 18 people have died due to corona in the world so far. However, more than 15 lakh 44 thousand people have recovered after being infected with corona.
